The Guardian Party Walkthrough - Disney Dreamlight Valley Guide - IGN (2024)

After remembering his Valley Guardian duties in "A Reminder in Stone" and launching the successful "The M.U.S.H.U. Program," Mushu now decides to throw a party celebrating his and Mulan's arrival to Dreamlight Valley. In his Level 7 Friendship Quest, "The Guardian Party," you must help Mushu throw the perfect party for the Valley and its residents!

Hand Out Invitations

Meet Mushu inside the Vitalys Mines. He gives you a stack of Invitations, which you need to deliver to the following Villagers:

• The Beast
• Mirabel
• Mulan
• Simba

Return to Mushu with the good news - all four of his guests are happy to attend the party!

Craft Modular Dragon Decorations

Of course, Mushu wants to make decorations themed after himself and put them up around the Valley. To craft the Dragon Decorations, you will need the following materials:

One Brick can be crafted from 5 Clay and 1 Coal Ore. Clay can be found by Digging in the Glade of Trust, Sunlit Plateau, and Forgotten Lands, while Coal Ore is found when mining Rock Spots in any biome. Both Clay and Bricks can potentially be sold at Kristoff's Stall.

One Gold Ingot can be crafted from 5 Gold Nugget and 1 Coal Ore. Gold Ore can be found by mining Rock Spots in the Frosted Heights, Sunlit Plateau, Forgotten Lands, and Vitalys Mines. Gold Ingots may be sold at Kristoff's Stall or dropped by Ravens when fed Liked foods.

Hardwood can be harvested from the ground near trees in the Forest of Valor, Frosted Heights, Sunlit Plateau, and Glade of Trust. It may also be sold at Kristoff's Stall.

Rubies are dropped when mining Rock Spots in the Vitalys Mines.

Visit a Crafting Station and combine the above ingredients into the Modular Dragon Head x 2, Modular Dragon Body x 3, and Modular Dragon Tail x 2.

Place the decorations anywhere in the Valley (although Mushu does suggest putting them just outside the Vitalys Mines.)

Complete Celebration Activities

Return to the Vitalys Mines, where Mushu has decorated for the party. Change into a red and gold outfit (including up to 4 pieces of red and/or gold gear) and ring the gong to start the party!

Mushu has three Celebration Activities planned for you. Each shows up as a separate Quest in your Quest Menu, and you can complete them in any order.

The Red Pouch Hunt

Mushu has hidden seven Red Pouches inside the Vitalys Mines.

The first Red Pouch is in the center of the party area.

The second Red Pouch is just past the rock column near the start of the path through the Mines.

The third Red Pouch is just past the bridge made out of intersecting minecart tracks.

The fourth Red Pouch is near a fork in the path, just past the area filled with glowing purple mushrooms.

The fifth Red Pouch is just past that fork, within view of the fourth one.

The sixth Red Pouch is near the entrance to Simba's secret Dreamlight Fruit room.

The seventh Red Pouch is just past the sixth one, next to a Rock Node.

Simply collecting the pouches is enough to complete The Red Pouch Hunt, but you can open your pouches to collect Rewards including Rubies, Gold Ingots, and Star Coins!

Cooking Sesame Balls

Cook an order of Sesame Balls according to the recipe Mushu gives you. You will need the following:

• Ginger - Harvested in the Forgotten Lands
• Rice - Grown from seeds purchased at Goofy's Stall in the Glade of Trust
• Seaweed - Caught when fishing in open water
• Soya - Grown from seeds purchased at Goofy's Stall in the Sunlit Plateau
• Wheat - Grown from seeds purchased at Goofy's Stall in the Peaceful Meadow

Show your completed Sesame Balls to Mushu, who declares them to be perfect!

Mushu's Pinata Extravaganza

Mushu has set up three pinatas on the other side of the mine river, near the entrance to Simba's secret room. Using your Royal Pickaxe, break all three Pinatas and collect at least ten pieces of the Dragon Candy that falls out. Dragon Candy is a Food item that restores a small amount of energy when eaten.

After completing all three activities, complete the Quest by taking a photo of Mushu enjoying the party. Looks like the first ever Dreamlight Valley Guardian Party was a huge success!
